I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were dealt a huge blow this week when the bombshell news hit that Olivia Attwood had quit the jungle.

The former Love Island contestant was forced to leave camp due to a medical issue after less than 24 hours in the competition.

Olivia was able to take part in one trial before she left, winning some stars for camp, but it will be her last, with the star now set to be reunited with fiancé Bradley Dack much sooner than initially planned.

A spokesperson said on Monday: ‘As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.

‘Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be a further investigation.

‘She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show.’

Since, Olivia’s team have said she’s ‘heartbroken’ and have vowed that she’ll reveal the ‘truth’ of why she had to leave ‘in due course’.

But who else has been forced to quit the jungle in I’m A Celebrity’s long history?

The first voluntary departure from I’m A Celebrity came during the show’s second season. After all nine contestants were either voted off or emerged victorious in 2002’s first season, people were expecting the 2003 edition to yield similar results.

However, former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook walked out on day nine. Afterwards, she swore to never again do TV work that took her away from home.

That year, the competition was eventually won by former England cricketer Phil Tufnell, who is expected to appear on the I’m A Celebrity All Stars series in 2023 – the series has recently been filming in South Africa.

The former Sex Pistols singer entered the jungle during the year that became best known for the beginning of singer Peter Andre and model Katie Price’s long-running celebrity romance. Kerry Katona eventually won the series.

Lydon, 48 at the time, survived three rounds of elimination before leaving the camp of his own accord on the 11th day of the competition – just five days before Kerry, just 23 at the time, was crowned Queen of the Jungle.

While he was previously convinced that he was going to win the competition and ‘turn into Des O’Connor’, Lydon suddenly walked out, leaving his campmates and viewers at home stunned.
